The Respectables are an iconic Quebec band famous for their unique sound, incisive lyrics and explosive energy. The group have nearly 25 years of rock and roll under their belt and many of Quebec’s greatest rock hits to their credit. Over the years, they have produced more than 10 albums and some 25 hit singles. Not only have they earned a number of accolades at the Felix, ADISQ and SOCAN awards, many of their songs shot to the top of the radio charts and their single On fait ce qu’on aime, from the 2002 album QuadroSonic, stayed on the chart for 13 weeks in a row. One show led to another for the band from Quebec City and they soon racked up a string of performances at home and abroad. A major highlight for the band was opening for legendary rockers The Rolling Stones at the Bell Centre in 2003. Today, The Respectables are far from running out of steam. In 2015, they released a self-titled album produced by internationally acclaimed Gordie Johnson, and a new 25th anniversary album featuring the band’s 25 greatest hits is being released this year. Don’t miss your chance to see them at Mont-Sainte-Anne—prepare to be impressed!

The duo opened many times for Dumas and Robert Charlebois and performed at the Francofolies de Montréal. 10 years and 100 shows later, the duo takes a break, allowing Jesse to work on a new bilingual solo project: ZAGATA. Its first mini-album “Backseat” allowed him to open for well-known artists such as Karim Ouellet and Foreign Diplomats.

This mix of funk, soul and rock n’ roll was first demonstrated on the albums “Street Money Miracle” (2009) and “The Good Years (DIRTY WORK)” 2012. Murphy’s stark lyrics were superimposed over funky guitar lines and minimalist backbeats. The release of “Street Money Miracle” and “The Good Years” led to opening spots for Adele, Derek Trucks, John Mayall, Buddy Guy, Lynyrd Skynyrd, three European tours and performances at the Vancouver Winter Olympic Games
